アプリに自動でキャリブレーションさせる
アプリを開くとiPhoneを判別し、その機種の既知の画素密度から画面の縮尺を設定します。デバイス名とPPIが画面に表示されます。確認したい場合は、微調整画面にクレジットカードを当ててください。カードの幅はどれも正確に85.60mmです。
指輪を測る、または指を測る
手持ちの指輪をディスプレイに置き、円を内周に合わせます。指輪は変形しないため、これが最も正確な方法です。指輪がない場合は画面のゲージを使うか、カメラでスキャンしてください。

自宅でリングサイズを測るには？
すでにぴったり合う指輪の内径を測り、サイズ表と照らし合わせてください。17.3mmはUSサイズ7に相当します。指輪がない場合は、指の付け根の周囲を測ります。いずれの場合も夕方に手を温めてから測り、使用する目盛りがキャリブレーションされていることを確認してください。
リングサイザーのアプリは本当に正確ですか？
キャリブレーション次第です。17.3mmの円は460 PPIのiPhoneでは313ピクセル、326 PPIでは222ピクセルになるため、単一の一般的な画素密度を前提とするアプリは数サイズずれることがあります。Ring Sizerは機種を判別し、既知のPPIから縮尺を設定します。手持ちの指輪を測る場合、誤差は約4分の1サイズです。
リングゲージなしでサイズを測るには？
伸びない紙の帯を指の付け根に巻き、重なった位置に印を付けて、その長さをミリ単位で測ってください。それが内周で、54.4mmはUSサイズ7に相当します。糸は伸びるため避けてください。2ミリの伸びはほぼ1サイズ分に相当します。
平均的なリングサイズは？
女性の平均はUS 6〜7（直径16.5〜17.3mm）、男性の平均はUS 9〜10（18.9〜19.8mm）です。販売される女性用エンゲージリングの多くはUS 5½〜7の範囲に収まります。平均値は計測結果の妥当性を確認するために使い、計測の代わりにはしないでください。
相手のリングサイズをこっそり知るには？
相手が正しい指にすでに着けている指輪を借りて、内径を測ってください。1分もかからず、実際の対象を測れる唯一の方法です。難しい場合は、クレジットカードの隣に置いて撮影するか、秘密を守れる身近な人に尋ねましょう。
何か印刷する必要はありますか？
いいえ。印刷式のサイザーは縮尺がちょうど100%のときにしか機能しませんが、プリンタードライバーは何も告げずに用紙サイズに合わせて縮小することがよくあります。2%の縮尺誤差はおよそ1サイズ分に相当します。Ring Sizerは端末から縮尺を設定するため、印刷も確認も不要です。

夕方、室温で、手を温めた状態です。指は早朝と寒さにさらされた後に最も細くなり、冷えた手では1サイズ小さく出ることもあります。逆に1日の終わりが最も太くなります。3回測って、最も大きい値を採用してください。
